2005 bear trophy's
Scott Falcon from Louisiana starts the year off great with this awesome caramel colored black bear 18 5/16". Outfitter Andy Milam got the entire hunt on video!

Steve and Lorrie Dougherty with Steve's 21 1/16 booner. This was Steve's
4th bear hunt with SBO but the first time he brought his good luck
charm, his new wife Lorrie. Steve even got this kill on video!
That was our 4 hunters for the first week of hunting. Now lets proceed to the second week! 4 for 4 the first week!
Tim Bruner from Minnesota starts the week out right with this fine trophy. This was
only the second animal he has taken with a bow!
Darren Johnson from Iowa won his hunt in a Keystone Country Store sweepstakes
and took full advantage of the opportunity taking this beautiful cinnamon phase black bear. His hunt was captured on video by fellow hunter Tim Bruner!
Greg Snautz from New Braunsfels Texas isn't getting left out. His Pope & Young black is taken at 10 AM on a morning hunt. Fellow hunter Bob Christianson also shoots a black at 10AM but unfortunately it is not recovered. Bob is booked for 2006 to try again.
Jim Weison, owner of "Archery Country", in Austin Texas is on his second hunt
with SBO and takes a fine Pope & Young Black trophy.
Last but not least Jim Oliver from Laredo Texas, takes the best bear of the week. This trophy 19 3/16 Pope and Young was taken on the last evening. Jimmy has been shooting a bow for exactly 1 week!
That makes 3 for 3 on Pope and Young trophies for the Archery Country group and 6 for 6 opportunity on the week with 5 bears taken.
Now on to the third week of hunting with a group from Michigan and Indiana.
Mike Weber from Indiana starts the week out with this fine trophy.
Tammy Long from Michigan follows with her trophy.
Ken Swanson from Michigan gets his trophy. The last member of the group Mike Ritter also from Indiana gets his shot also but we don't recover his bear. Mike is booked for 2006 to try again.
That's 4 for 4 opportunity with 3 bears taken on the final week of spring hunting.
